What Does Hypertension Have to Do With Weight Loss?

Are you aware that hypertension just does not exist in cultures that have not succumbed to the diet of the western world? However, in western world, Hypertension abounds after only about twenty years of eating refined and processed foods.
How important is it then to treat hypertension? If untreated, hypertension can lead to massive heart problems, strokes, kidney failure, etc. You are also probably aware of the epidemic of type 2 diabetes in the past couple decades, right? This type of diabetes comes about from the bad foods we have been ingesting and kills by thickening and clogging arteries, leading to heart problems and deading nerve endings to the point of amputation, if not properly treated.
Diabetes is just a start. Our western diet has also led to an increase in arthritis. Think of this...if it hurts to even walk, you are less likely to walk around a grocery store, selecting properly, nutrition-based foods. Instead, you will most certainly opt for the easier fix of fast food.
Recent studies have shown that obesity increase your risk of heart disease and failure by 10x! But how about the increase of cancer in normal-weight individuals? What about cancer and nerve disease among extreme athletes? This does not make sense, except when you look to the geneses. You may think that it is bad luck, but it all comes down to your genes.
Now, think about this...the leading cause of Alzheimer patients is starvation. Is this simply coincidence or part of some genetic plan? The exposure to small amounts of sugar will see an improvement in short-term memory loss, but on the other hand, if the genes find us putting our hand in the sugar-rich candy jar too often, there is no better way of conditioning you then by cutting off the part of you that reminds you where to find that delightful jar of candies.
One last bit on killer genes and that is stress will trigger them to come on as well. So if we look at the sugar example, it is not just the fact that sugar has been ingested, it is what the sugar does to us and hence, what the killer genes see as a negative.
