Colon Cleansing Diet Programs - The Latest Craze!

What is the latest buzz on doing a colon cleanse and shedding pounds? For anybody who is planning on doing a colon cleanse, read the important information provided in this article prior to starting your colon cleanse diet. Not every colon cleanses or diet plans are created equal.
For those who have kept involved and current in health news in the last few years, you may have read the hype surrounding colon cleanse diets. You cannot help but grab the latest tabloid or get online without reading about celebs who are fasting for days eating nothing but fruit and veggies. Or the most current trend of doing the colon cleanse diet in addition to using some form of the acai berry. All of this is being done to shed pounds and eliminate toxins from their bodies. You might be thinking to yourself, "Now that doesn't sound like such a bad diet. Eat nothing but fruits and vegetables for a week, and I will enjoy soft skin, shiny hair and nails, get rid of unsightly cellulite and lose weight too!" Wrong.
A diet of nothing but fruits and veggies will NOT rid your body of accumulated toxins. Not only this, it may well have damaging effects since you are essentially eliminating your body's supply of proteins and carbohydrates, and relying only on fruit based vitamins and minerals. And that is hardly a healthy colon cleanse diet.
Fruits and vegetables on their own tend not to create a healthy and balanced colon cleanse diet. Fruits and vegetables are one of the significant daily food groups, and include many important vitamins and minerals. They also help in digestion by supplying the body with fiber and roughage it requires to be able to rid the body of waste.
Unfortunately however, a fruit and veggie diet can do only so much to rid your body of built up fecal matter. It may help eliminate waste that is left over from your existing diet. But, what about the years of hardened matter that is stuck to your insides? A grape fruit and apple diet or drinking lemonade and maple syrup has its benefits, but there is no way you can expect these diets alone to scrub off the hardened plaque that sticks stubbornly to the colon walls.
To scrub out this hardened fecal matter, you will need a more intensive colon cleanse diet - one that is especially formulated to get to the root of the plaque and dislodge it, so it can pass through the gastrointestinal tract and out the body without any strain. It's like the icky black thing you see in the corner of the bathroom tiles. Try rubbing it with a soft sponge, and it will not budge. Use a good hard-bristled brush, a strong mold-cleaning solution and add some good old-fashioned elbow grease and the junk will come off.
The ideal colon cleansing detox diet needs to be hard on plaque, soft on you. Put simply, a cleansing detox diet should not leave you dizzy and experiencing splitting headaches, or dehydration.
Remember to aid your colon cleanse diet plan by including plenty of water, fruits and vegetables and reducing cigarette smoking and alcohol till the cleanse is complete. If you are worried about stripping your body of the probiotic bacteria that is necessary for the smooth functioning of the digestive system and the immune system, you can increase your intake of dairy products or even add one of those probiotic drinks you see in the grocery store. Do your homework before beginning any new cleansing program and choose a product that is easy on your insides and provides great results time after time.
