5 Tips From the Best Fat Loss Plans

You may have tried all the fat loss plans out there and still have not lost weight. I completely understand. I was once just like you - searching for the next diet that will finally get and keep me at my goal weight. What finally worked for me was to stop dieting and start eating healthy, natural foods.

Once I cut out all the processed food I had been eating, I quickly found the answers I had been looking for. I have since studied many weight loss plans on the market, some good, some not so good. I am going to share with you the best of the best.

No Processed Food

One of the most important things is to avoid all unnatural, packaged, and processed foods. This includes artificial sweeteners and anything else with ingredients you cannot pronounce. Avoid most flour products too. All these items send your blood-sugar up rapidly. This causes cravings and prevents you from losing weight.

Additionally, chemicals, such as preservatives, have to be filtered through the liver, and if your liver is bombarded with these toxins it will not be able to properly process nutrients to allow you to burn fat. Stick to whole foods, such as brown rice, olive and coconut oil, fruits, vegetables, and natural proteins.

Eat Small Meals

The next tip is to eat 5-8 small meals a day. You want to keep your metabolism burning fat instead of going into starvation mode. Try to eat 3-4 hours apart, and never skip breakfast. You want to start your day with your metabolism running instead of it trying to hold on to everything from the day before.

Watch your Portions

Pay attention to portion sizes. A proper amount of a protein is about the size of a deck of cards, not half a large plate. Portion size will vary from person to person, but this should give you a good starting point. Our culture has distorted views about portion sizes, so you may need to retrain yourself.

Eat At Least 5 Fruits and Veggies per Day

Your mom told you to eat your veggies, and she was right. They are filled with antioxidants to help you fend off disease and fiber, which will help your weight loss efforts. Plus they are relatively low in calories and will keep you full. Aim to have some fruits and vegetables at every meal. You can find many healthy recipes online too.

Make Eating Healthy Convenient

Now that you have given up packaged food, make sure you have plenty of natural protein, healthy fat, whole grains, and fruits and vegetables on hand so you won't be tempted to go through the drive through. A little planning can go a long way--after a little while your new lifestyle will become second nature.
Now that you have my favorite practices from the fat loss plans out there, you are ready to continue or start your journey to a healthier life.
